Founded by Cedric Alves, Alma Design is a multi-disciplinary design consulting studio that creates inspiring content that tells a story.

"Alma" means "Soul" in Portuguese and reflects our dedication.

Nothing feels more fulfilling than designing and collaborating on a project that embodies the client's identity, emotions, and thoughts, with the opportunity to create lasting memories.

Through the years, Cedric has become deeply involved with various projects ranging from automotive design to lighting while developing his furniture collections.

Portuguese, born and raised in Paris, Cedric immersed himself in European culture and has applied it to every creation since.

His creative journey started when he was about eight years old. His mother, a graphic designer at l'ENSCI in Paris then, would take him to work to satiate his creative desires.

"While she was busy, I remember walking up and down the hallways and peeking inside different classrooms to see what the students were learning. Over the years and through sheer curiosity, I was fortunate enough to participate in different activities such as model making, nude drawing, and photography, probably making me the youngest, unofficial student attending their design school."

Driven by his early years in a creative environment, he studied fine arts. He learned traditional lathe techniques at l'Ecole Boulle in Paris, to later continue at Strate College Designers and specialize in Automotive design.

Cedric moved to Detroit in early 2012, where he spent a few years, and now lives in Orange County, CA, with his wife and two children.
